COMPETITION LAWS IN TURKEY
Turkish Law on the Protection of Competition (law no. 4054) is regulating the major anti trust rules that applies to companies operating in Turkey. It aims to protect the competition between and prevent practices that are contrary to the competition.
More specific regulation also shall be scrutinized when companies are entering into important commercial agreements. These are :
a. the Block Exemption Communiqué on Vertical Agreements No. 2002/ 2 (with amendements by the Communiqué No. 2003/3) ;
b. the Block Exemption Communiqué on Research and Development Agreements No. 2003/2 ;
c. the Block Exemption Communiqué on Technology Transfer Agreements No. 2008/2 ;
d. the Block Exemption Communiqué in Relation to the Insurance Sector No. 2008/3 ;
e. the Block Exemption Communiqué on Vertical Agreements and Concerted Practices in the Motor Vehicle Sector No. 2005/4.
