INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION
Arbitration is one of the core practices of Inlawco.
In Turkey, the state courts are particularly slow, judges are often lacking expertise and justice is expensive (judicial taxes in proportion to the claim). Therefore, there are serious reasons to escape from state courts.
As a result, the arbitration practice in Turkey is to grow.
We advise mainly foreign investors in Turkey, in setting-up the most suitable arbitration schemes. Our team comprises specialists across different sectors and are fluent in English, French, Turkish and Arabic.
Firm's partners have acted as counsel in proceedings at the major arbitration centers, including the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the International Commercial Arbitration Court (MKAS) in Moscow, the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), and the Vienna International Arbitration Centre (VIAC), as well as cases under the Rules of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO).
Our Managing Partner is also appointed as arbitrator on regular basis.
